DB's Art Manager for Windows
(C) 1993 Abacus Software Inc.
5370 52nd Street SE
Grand Rapids, MI 49512
Thank you for purchasing "DB's Art Manager for Windows" from the
Abacus SoftCollection. We look forward to providing more software for
your computer in the future.
There are several types of PCX graphic files. You may find that a
particular PCX graphic file cannot be loaded into your Art Manager
archive. If this occurs, you will need to convert it to another graphic
format, such as BMP (bitmap). An easy way to do this is to use the
PAINTBRUSH program located in the ACCESSORIES group of
Microsoft Windows.
To convert the PCX graphic to a BMP (Bitmap) graphic, do the
following: Open the ACCESSORIES GROUP by double-clicking
the appropriate icon. Then double-click the Paintbrush icon to
activate the PAINTBRUSH program.
Next, locate and load the graphic that Art Manager couldn't load.
Once you've loaded the graphic into PAINTBRUSH, you can
save it. To save the graphic as a Bitmap file, select SAVE from
the File Menu. You can then select the graphic file format (any
of the bitmap formats will work) by selecting "Save File as
Type:" and then selecting a format. After you've selected
the file type, click the OK button. You should save the
graphic file to the directory from which it was originally
loaded. (For a more information on loading and saving
graphics, refer to the Paintbrush section of your Windows manual.)
When you've saved your graphic from PAINTBRUSH, you
can return to Art Manager and load it into your Art Manager
Archive.
